Switch PoE

A PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch is a type of network switch that provides the ability to supply electrical power to PoE-compatible devices. The PoE standard allows the transmission of electrical power and data via one Ethernet cable. The PoE switch has special ports that can supply PoE power to devices such as IP surveillance cameras or video intercoms.

Standard housing

Switches in a standard housing are intended for installation in RACK type ICT housings. These are switches typically in a metal housing with the option of mounting special cabinet handles.

Gigabit Ethernet

The switch uses the Gigabit Ethernet standard, which guarantees high data transfer efficiency. Thanks to this standard, the user has transfer speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps up to 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps), which ensures smooth and stable communication in the network. This speed is ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications such as transferring large files or streaming high-quality video.

SFP port for optical fiber

The SFP port in network devices allows the installation of special SFP inserts that are intended for connection to fiber optic networks. Compared to traditional twisted-pair copper cables, optical fiber offers much higher data transmission speeds and the ability to transmit signals over much longer distances without loss of quality. Additionally, optical fiber is resistant to electromagnetic interference. Thanks to this, solutions based on SFP fibers are becoming more and more popular in advanced computer networks.

Efficient power supply in the 802.3 bt standard

The switch has an RJ45 port in the PoE 802.3 bt standard. This port allows you to supply up to 60W of power to the receiver. Thanks to this, we can power even the most demanding devices such as large PTZ cameras, WiFi access points or entire cascades of devices using additional distributors.

PoE Budget 240W

The PoE budget determines the maximum power that the PoE switch can deliver to the connected devices, which is 240 W. This means that the PoE switch is able to power all connected receivers within this total power. Thanks to this, users can be sure that each device connected to the PoE switch will receive the appropriate amount of energy to function properly. This allows for effective management of mains power, eliminating the need to use additional power supplies for each device.

AI function

The advanced feature monitors the PoE device's network connection to see if it is active. When connecting a device powered by PoE, the AI ​​function will reset this device in the event of a communication failure to restore device functionality.

Security

The switch has high-class overvoltage protection up to 6 kV and ESD protection up to 8 kV, which can briefly connect the overvoltage to ground, thus protecting the rest of the system. Such surges can be caused by a variety of factors, including lightning, power grid surges, and induced voltages in circuits.
