The controller is designed to control white WW/CW LED strips (2 wires) for smooth dimming and brightening, and to control the white color temperature for CCT strips (3 wires).

Control can be done via the TUYA Smart or Philips HUE application (after connecting to the Philips HUE bridge) and dedicated SD series remote controls. Optionally, the controller also supports Alexa and Google Assistant voice control.

The device has a DC power input and a 2-channel DC voltage output. Additionally, it has a connection for a physical switch (dimmable using a bell switch). In this model, we can connect a CW/WW tape (3 wires) or two White tapes (2 wires) to two ports.

Devices in this series can communicate with each other using a dedicated 2.4 GHz RF frequency.

Basics of the ZigBee protocol:

• The ZigBee protocol operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency, which propagates well in buildings
• ZigBee connectivity is MESH connectivity, which means that each ZigBee device with full L+N power works as a signal amplifier for other devices. If a remote sensor does not have communication with the ZigBee gateway, it is enough that it has radio communication with another ZigBee device with full L+N power that has communication with the gateway (up to a maximum of 3 devices). The devices work in a mesh chain of connections, which ensures reliability and certainty of the connection
• Devices using the ZigBee protocol connect to the control panel in 0.2 seconds in the event of a state change, and WiFi takes about 5 seconds to connect to the network after a state change. ZigBee devices have a huge advantage when it comes to automating smart rules
• On a WiFi network with 25 devices you will start to experience network problems. You can easily add over 50 devices to the ZigBee hub
