Thanks to the SMA antenna connector, the included antenna can be mounted outside a metal cabinet or replaced with a higher-gain antenna for improved stability and range.

The Shelly Pro LoRa Add-on supportsAES-CCM encrypted communicationas well as unicast, multicast, and broadcast addressing using the Shelly Protocol. The system also supports one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one, and many-to-many network topologies, allowing larger automation systems to be deployed easily.

Thanks to Shelly’s advanced scripting capabilities, LoRa communication can be fully customized. Shelly Pro devices can simultaneously function as automation controllers and LoRa communication nodes, eliminating the need for separate gateways or dedicated communication infrastructure.

The module can also be used to forward data from Shelly BLU Bluetooth devices. For example, a Shelly BLU HT sensor can transmit data via Bluetooth to a Shelly Pro device, which then forwards the data over the LoRa network to other Shelly Pro devices.
