The ASDC-05-050-HS adapter is a non-isolated DC/DC step-down converter. The device is powered by a 48 V PoE line and provides a stabilized output voltage of 5 VDC. In the ASDC-05-050-HS version of the adapter, the 5 V output voltage is available only in the wired DC plug (it is not available in the RJ-45 plug). The device can be powered by 802.3af/at and PoE PASSIVE switches. Typical use is to power IP cameras or WiFi devices that do not support the PoE standard.
