Zigbee protokols darbojas uz akas -izplatot iebūvēto 2,4 GHz frekvenci

Zigbee savienojamība ir MESH savienojamība, kas nozīmē, ka katra Zigbee ierīce darbojas kā relejs citām ierīcēm. Ja tālvadības sensoram nav sakaru ar Zigbee Gateway, pietiek ar to, ka tam ir radio sakari ar citu sensoru, kuram ir sakari ar vārteju.
