Inspiration & examples

The best way to start is to see what others do. Here are three real DIY smart-home setups you can copy step by step — all built from devices you install yourself, no electrician, no subscriptions.

Starter apartment

A simple start over a couple of evenings. Begin with a few smart bulbs in the living room, one smart plug for the coffee machine and a motion sensor in the hallway. The result: lights turn on by themselves when you come home and switch off when you go to bed. No hub needed — Wi-Fi is enough.

Family house

More rooms, more automation. Add a Zigbee hub and place sensors on doors and windows, smart thermostats in each room and an alarm with a siren. Round it out with a camera at the entrance and blind motors. Everything runs from one phone, even when you're away.

Rental-friendly kit

Renting? Choose devices you can install without drilling and take with you when you move. Smart bulbs in ordinary sockets, portable sensors with adhesive tape, and smart plugs that go straight into the wall. No traces left behind — just comfort.

Build your own

Each setup is only a starting point. Add or drop devices as you need and grow at your own pace. Browse the whole shop or drop us a line, and we'll help you build a kit tailored to your home.
